I am a rather sheltered American (all of my vacations are south toward the beach and not towards Europe) so this will probably reveal my ignorance more than anything else. I also realize that there will be some member of the US Peugeot Fan club who will tell me that Peugeot has always made a wonderful car (this has not been my opinion. Ever.) But I saw an internet ad for a little Peugeot convertible and, intrigued, I went to the site. They have a nice, sporty little line of cars. When did that happen?
Reliable? I have no idea. Expensive? Who knows (I'm an American, I don't do conversions)? Damn though, I kinda want one. Alas, the web site says that they don't make cars that meet American standards which I assume means that it gets good gas mileage and has seats that only hold normal size asses. As a result they won't import them to America. Peugeot can keep the van (ugly), and some of the little compacts (too tiny) but the 307, 407 and 607 are pretty sweet and need to be imported (or exported depending on where you are reading this from).
I have no way to end this seed except to say that I have no affiliation with Peugeot or any other car manufacturer or distributor.
